Abstract

The article considers the problem of magnesium deficiency in patients with chronic kidney disease. It requires special attention from clinicians due to the increased risk of cardiovascular complications. The study revealed that one third of patients with chronic kidney disease stages I–III has a magnesium deficiency. The use of magnesium preparations helps to normalize the magnesium homeostasis.
