This article focuses on the analysis of forms of contrasts realization in the symphonic works of Pavel Rivilis. In these pieces, the relief expression and the background sound are both realized by means of spécial, uncommon in the compositional practice contrast forms, manifested both at the level of timbre and register characteristics of one or another woodwind instruments of the some group as well as in the juxtaposition of different register zones of woodwind instrument.
