Abstract
This paper utilizes the ansatz method to obtain bright and dark 1-soliton
solution to the nonlinear Schrodinger’s equation with parabolic law
nonlinearity in birefringent fibers. There are a few Hamiltonian type
perturbation terms taken into account. The exact soliton solution comes with
baggages that are referred to as constraint conditions that must hold in
order for these solitons to exist.
