This article and analyzes the basis of cooperation of the European Union and Ukraine in the field of judicial cooperation in civil and commercial matters. It has been determined that the prospect of regulation the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments at the level of an international treaty rather questionable. The main obstacle to this is the discrepancy of Ukrainian judicial system to the European standards.
