El artículo es un homenaje a los cien años de publicación de la novela Durante la Reconquista del escritor chileno Alberto Blest Gana. Se revisan en él las críticas desde la primera edición de la novela hasta nuestros días y algunos alcances teóricos que ha merecido el estudio de la novela histórica. De la obra se comentan aspectos de su estructura y función literaria, la relación con el programa narrativo del autor y su vínculo con la literatura hispanoamericana romántica.   This artcle celebrates the hundred years of publication of the novel Durante la Reconquista of the Chilean writer Alberto Blest Gana. It includes a critical estimate of the different reviews and criticism from the first edition to the present, as well as theoretical considerations concerning the historical novel itself. About the novel by Blest Gana, aspects of structure and literary function are commented upon, including its relationship to the narrative project of the author with its specific connections to romantic Hispanic American writing.
