Methods of preprocessing of the raster images for improvement of quality of the decision of problems of pattern recognition in modern security arrangement, such as systems of intellectual video monitoring, are considered in this paper. The description of algorithms of scaling of images in shots, coming from real time video streams is given. The practical application of the developed algorithms in program modules of corresponding video systems is demonstrated.
