This article focuses on the Financial compensation for use of Water Resources - CFURH while sector charge and a kind of environmental tax on the generation of hydroelectric power. Is intended to investigate the potential use of funds raised by the CFURH federative bodies and local environmental development tool, regional and national. The hypothesis herein postulated is that these features represent significant values, but are not used efficiently, from the point of view of environmental investment and water resources. Therefore, it is necessary investment in environmental information and education, especially for communities of raisers municipalities, as well as the refinement of control mechanisms by the population and external oversight bodies of their loved raisers, as the Audit Courts of States and the Union.
