Nutrition Research and Development Cen­tre (NRDC) in under the National Institute for Health Research and Development (NIHRD). The head of NIHRD is directly under the Minister of Health Beside Nutrition Research and Development Centre there are other five research centre which are under NIHRD.

The national programme of nutrition is conducted by Directorate of Nutrition which is under the Directorate General of Commu­nity Health Care NRDC continously provides update data on nutrition problems and various ways of controlling them based on the most recent results of studies conducted NRDC. Beside providing update information con­cerning data and the ways of controlling nutrition problems to Directorate of Nutrition, NRDC provides also data to other institutions in other Ministries having programmes in nutrition.
