Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to reflect about the relationship between information behavior and information literacy in order to demonstrate how these elements contribute to the process of innovation in micro and small businesses. As methodology, we used a bibliographic research which has a qualitative and exploratory nature. This research resulted in a conceptual framework and model that demonstrated the importance of those themes. Therefore, the information behavior is fundamental, so professionals can access information and consider the standards and indicators of information literacy as a guidance of processes.
