Abstract
Suicide is a form of death that constitutes a major health problem. This paper aims at determining the protective factors of suicide in 50 women deprived of liberty, the prison "Villa Cristina" in Armenia, Quindio, to this end, we used a descriptive-quantitative model of cross section. The results of the climb "Reasons for Living Inventory ¨ (RFL), show a prevalence of 20% in the survival and coping skills, 19% in family responsibility and concern for children, as well, fear suicide (12%), social disapproval (12%) and moral objections (18%).
