Abstract
The study sought to determine the influence of parental involvement in facilitating pupils’ homework and pupils’ learning achievements. Results show that parents remarkably facilitated completion of their children’s homework; pupils’ had acceptable learning achievements. However, it was found out that parental involvement does not influence pupils’ learning achievements. It was recommended that the school principal has to stimulate and encourage teachers to collaborate with parents in home learning activities which emphasize mastery of the least mastered learning competencies and craft homework activities meaningfully which utilize localized materials. Teachers are also encouraged to develop or craft homework activities which promote independent learning and enhance engagement. Lastly, an empirical research on factors that influence pupils’ learning achievements through parental involvement should likewise be conducted to explore further the enormous contribution of parental involvement to pupils’ learning performance.
