Mr. Mark Joshua D. Roxas is an Associate Member of the Department of Science and Technology – National Research Council of the Philippines. He is a research enthusiast, a textbook writer, and a lifelong learner.
He holds a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree from the Philippine Normal University – Manila. He also obtained a Master of Arts in Education degree from the University of Perpetual Help — Las Piñas Campus. At present, he is a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Education in the same university. He is a full-time faculty, and the Co-Curricular Activities Coordinator of the SHS Department. He also serves as an Assistant Professor IV at the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education at the University of Perpetual Help — Molino Campus. Concurrently, he is the Research Coordinator of the Humanities and Social Sciences Cluster, which includes the Arts, Sciences, Education and Criminology programs of the College Department in the same university.
As a research-oriented Perpetualite educator, he received various local and international awards such as: Outstanding Researcher and Research adviser from the Lumina Foundation for Integral Human Development; Outstanding Educator in the field of Research and Humanities and Social Sciences by Beyond Books Publications, Philippines, and Colorado Global Schools, Colorado, USA; and Exemplary Advanced Practitioner in the Field of Education and Innovations by the Association of Higher Education Mentors and Researchers, Inc. and Unified Manila + Chapter, and International Institute of Knowledge Management. Recently, he was awarded as the UPHSD – Molino Employee of the Year 2023 as Outstanding Senior High School Coordinator.
He has published papers in local and international SCOPUS-indexed research journals. He has also presented research papers in both local and international conferences, where he was awarded multiple times as best research presenter such as at the HAMAKA Pambansang Kumperensya sa Pananaliksik, University of Sto. Tomas in 2019, 2nd International Webcon and & 7th Guro Research Conference, Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Manila in 2021, and the 3rd National Graduate Teacher Education Seminar-Workshop and Research Conference, Philippine Normal University in 2022.
He has published books on Research Writing and Practical Research 1 for Senior High School. He has also served as a peer reviewer in international research journals such as the Common Grounds Research Network, University of Illinois, USA, and Journal of Social, Humanity, and Education, Goodwood Publishing, Indonesia, to name a few.
