I am a professionally qualified cellular and molecular biologist. Previously, my research focused on mitochondrial DNA and genetic disorders in the Afghan population. My Ph.D. is in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Bologna, Italy, where my projects covered various areas, including Epigenetics, CRISPR-Cas9, nanomedicine, chemical and synthetic biology, as well as advanced molecular techniques for manipulating the M13 filamentous phage to target GD2 for photosonodynamic therapy of neuroblastoma, a pediatric cancer. I had the privilege as a visiting research fellow at Texas Children's Hospital in the United States. Where I investigated the roles of MYCN in TH-MYCN transgenic mouse models. In my postdoctoral research, I primarily focus on characterizing the molecular and epigenetic mechanisms responsible for the development and progression of neuroblastoma.
