Abstract

This descriptive quantitative research method, utilizing self-made, validated questionnaires, was used to assess the implementation of localized crime prevention. Through analyzing case studies and crime statistics, the study highlights the success factors, challenges, and areas for improvement in the implemented localized crime prevention programs, such as "Project Isugid mo kay Auntie Pulis," "Oplan Bantay-Kapwa," "Project Balik Kalinga," and "Project Bantay Barangay." The study showed a high level of implementation of the program. The respondents were 120 uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police in Tacurong City Station. In this study, validated self-made questionnaires were used to assess the programs and provide recommendations to optimize localized crime prevention, including the enhancement of community partnerships, better resource allocation, and continuous evaluation to sustain positive outcomes in crime reduction and community security. This study implies that crime prevention is a shared responsibility between the law enforcers and the community. Therefore, it is suggested that the extent of involvement in localized crime prevention programs, focusing on Community Participation, Personnel Deployment, Information Dissemination, and Equipment and Logistics, should be highly strengthened.
