Dr. Tahir Usman

Dr. Tahir Usman is working as Associate Professor (tenured) at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. Dr. Usman got his PhD degree from China Agriculture University under Chinese Government Scholarship and Post Doctorate from Germany under DAAD fellowship. Dr. Tahir Usman has published more than 70 research articles in international peer reviewed journals and got a couple of national & international awards including presedential award in China back in 2014. He has supervised over two dozens of Mphil and PhD research students. Dr. Usman has been awarded multimillion national and internation research projects including a joint project of Pakistan Sciene foundation and Nature Science Foundation of China. Moreover, he is serving as a reviwer cum editor with a couple of peer reviewed journals of intermnational repute. He is a certifiied profesional in biorsik managment and biosecurity by International Federation of Biosafety and he is serving as a master trainer with Pakistan Biological Assocaition of Pakistan. He has visited 14 countries accross the world and represented his university on various international forums as an invited speaker. His research focus is on gentic improvement and epigentic regulation of animal health, and antimicrobial resistence.
