Abstract

This study examined the relationship between digital library service effectiveness and user satisfaction among Information Technology Education (ITE) students of Southern Christian College. Guided by the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), it evaluated how Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Usefulness influence students' satisfaction with SCC's digital platforms, such as Blogspot, OPAC, Follett Email, Destiny Notification Alert Services, Electronic Document Delivery Service, and the SCC Library Facebook page. A descriptive-quantitative design was employed, with data collected from 205 ITE students through a structured survey. Results showed that students were generally satisfied with the digital library services, rating them as effective, accessible, and supportive of their academic tasks. Findings revealed a strong positive correlation (r = 0.706) between user satisfaction and service effectiveness, indicating that higher satisfaction leads to greater perceived effectiveness. Regression and mediation results further confirmed that Perceived Usefulness significantly predicts both satisfaction and effectiveness. The study concludes that digital library services substantially contribute to academic productivity. It recommends continuous system improvements, increased digital content, integration of services into a unified platform, and regular orientation programs to maximize student engagement and learning.
