Abstract
The education is a key factor for the decrease of income inequality and, consequently, contributes effectively to the development. The aim of this paper is to relate the education as fundamental items contributing to the regional development process, cause is through these, that are possible both formation of skilled labor and the development and empowerment of people to be able to transform their own surroundings and their region. It sought also to indicate how the education might contribute to decrease of income inequality. The subject was approached through bibliographical study. For the comparison between the income inequality in relation to parents education, presented in the table 2, could express the current reality, the values have been update by National Consumer Price Index (INPC), utilizing the Citizen Calculator. The data analysis was done relating the theoretical concepts introduced by the authors consulted. The table created with the updated values was analyzed based in the minimum wage used in the country. The results evidence the importance of parents’ education and workers to decrease of income inequality between the individuals in Brazil.
