Nutrient recycling in closed ecosystem models
Abstract
A plant-herbivore system which exhibits periodic behavior in the Lotka-Volterra sense is made more realistic by introducing one nutrient as a third dynamic variable. If this system is closed with respect to the nutrient, asymptotic stability is expected.
