Abstract

The article analyzes the published data concerning the presence of metabolic memory associated with the formation of adaptive reactions to the result of the influence of various environmental factors. In terms of deiodinase selenoproteins, mechanisms of metabolic correction under selenium deficiency confirming the existence of the triage theory were investigated. The data of our own observations which made it possible to draw a preliminary conclusion about the lack of selenium at least in some regions of Ukraine are provided.
