Nesse  artigo, a autora busca discutir as fronteiras existentes entre história e  ficção e suas ressonâncias no ensino de História da Educação Básica. A partir  de teorizações de historiadores como White, Schama, Burke e Gay, reflete sobre  visões mais radicais e mais moderadas em relação à flexibilidade destas  fronteiras. Amplia esta discussão em cima de temas que considera fundamentais  para a sua compreensão como: o estilo; o olho  contemporâneo e a recriação da história; a poesia e o ensino de  História; a narrativa, o tempo e a ficção. Conclui considerando que, embora  sejam tênues, sutis, delineadas e/ou demarcadas, as fronteiras entre história e  ficção existem. Concorda com Burke quando este autor afirma que, para visitar  estas fronteiras com mais segurança os historiadores precisam desenvolver suas  próprias técnicas ficcionais. Visitas que podem significar, também para o  professor de História, uma motivação para discutir com seus alunos questões  historiográficas contemporâneas e do próprio conteúdo trabalhado no processo  ensino e aprendizagem da Educação Básica. Narrativa e Tempo.   Abstract  In  this article, the author discusses the boundaries between history and fiction  and their resonance in the history teaching. From the theories of historians like White, Schama,  Burke and Gay, this work reflects on more radical and more moderate visions in  relation to the flexibility of these boundaries. It expands upon issues which  are considered fundamental to their understanding as: the style, the  contemporary look and re-creation of the history, poetry and history teaching,  narrative, time and fiction. As a conclusion, this investigation considers  that, although faint, subtle, outlined and / or demarcated, the boundaries  between history and fiction do exist. It also agrees with Burke when he states  that, in order to visit those borders more safely, historians need to develop  their own fictional techniques. Such visits can also motivate the history  teacher to discuss contemporary historiography questions with their students,  as well as the contents of the teaching and learning in Basic Education.
