Este artigo é um resumo do "Relatório Acerca da Apuração da Receita e a Realização das Despesas Relativas aos Recursos do FUNDEF/98 no Município de Goiânia", apresentado junto à Pró-Reitoria de Graduação (PROGRAD), referente à conclusão da pesquisa "O Fundo de Manutenção e Desenvolvimento do Ensino Fundamental e Valorização do Magistério – FUNDEF e o Financiamento do Ensino Fundamental: Sua Implantação no Município de Goiânia - Estudo de Caso". Nele discutimos o financiamento do ensino fundamental do município de Goiânia, diante de dados coletados junto ao Tribunal de Contas dos Municípios do Estado de Goiás e à luz de bibliografia (com ênfase em autores como Nicholas Davies, João Monlevade e José Carlos Melchior) relativa ao estudo do financiamento do ensino no Brasil. This article is a summary of the "Report Concerning Verify about Revenue and the Accomplishment of the Expenses Relative to the Resources of the FUNDEF/98 in the Municipal District of Goiânia ", presented to Pro-Rectorship of Graduation (PROGRAD), regarding the conclusion of the research " The Fund of Maintenance and Development of the Fundamental Teaching and Valorization of Mastership - FUNDEF and the Financing of the Fundamental Teaching: Its Implantation in the Municipal District of Goiânia - Study of Case ". In it we discussed the financing of the fundamental teaching of the municipal district of Goiânia, concerning the data of the Tribunal of Bills of the Municipal districts of the State of Goiás, and upon the light of the bibliography relative to the study of the financing of the teaching in Brazil (with emphasis in authors as Nicholas Davies, João Monlevade and José Carlos Melchior).
