Abstract

The rapid development of SMK should be accompanied with the quality improvement of SMK graduates. The objective of this research is to know and explore the effect of teaching strategy and control locus orientation to result study, competency on the lighting system and the automotive wiring of SMK student at Automotive Mechanical Program. This research uses quasi experimental research design using pre and post-test factorial design. The research shows that (1) the student teach using trainer which built at the beginning of teaching has achieved better result than the student which only teach using trainer, (2) the student possed internal control locus has obtained better than the student possed external control locus; and (3) there is a significant interaction between teaching strategy and student control locus, and the study result of lighting system and automotive wiring. Sudah saatnya pertumbuhan SMK yang pesat diiringi oleh pe­ning­katan ku­­a­­litas lulusan SMK. Tujuan penelitian  mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembela­­­jaran dan orientasi lokus kendali ter­hadap hasil belajar kompetensi sis­tem pene­rangan dan wiring otomotif siswa SMK Program Keah­lian Me­kanik Otom­otif. Penelitian ini meng­guna­kan rancang­an penelitian quasi-experimental dengan desain faktorial pra­tes-postes. Hasil penelitian (1) hasil bela­jar siswa yang dia­jar menggunakan trainer yang terlebih dahulu diberi job pembu­atan trainer lebih baik daripada yang diajar meng­gunakan trai­ner sa­ja; (2) hasil belajar kelompok siswa yang memiliki lokus kendali in­ternal lebih baik da­ripada yang me­mi­liki lokus kendali eksternal; dan (3) ter­dapat inter­ak­si yang signifikan antara strategi pembela­jaran dan lokus kendali sis­wa terhadap hasil belajar sistem penerangan dan wi­ring otomotif.
