He is one of the rationalistic interpreters of that time. His interpretations, being at least medium length, clear and rationalistic, were written like a text book. Şihabuddin es-Sivasi, influenced by Beğavi, Zemahşeri and Semerkandi, also influenced some interpreters such as Ebüssuüd, İsmail Hakkı Bursevi and Lütfullah Erzurumi. In line with the knowledge of interpretation so fair; Şihabuddin es-Sivasi in the Ottomans, as an independent interpreter; ignored reinterpretation, elucidation/haşiye, partial/selected interpretation and abstract studies.
