Abstract

Evidence from recent camera trap and biodiversity survey in Sakteng Wildlife Sanctuary, Bhutan has revealed the presence of Musk Deer, which was thought to be locally extirpated before the establishment of the Sanctuary.  The finding suggests the importance of the protected area and the intensive species recovery initiatives implemented in the recent past.
