Resumo: As precursoras representações historiográficas oitocentistas foram as matrizes da Historiografia nacional. E as Histórias literárias foram institucionalmente um dos principais veículos discursivos para a invenção e a convalidação de nossa tradição nacional, especialmente, por trazer o selo oficial do patrocínio imperial. Nesse período, diversos historiadores aspiravam concretizar a História oficial da Literatura brasileira. Houve três projetos de História literária concluídos, os de Cônego Fernandes Pinheiro, de Ferdinand Wolf e de Sotero dos Reis. Trago, então, uma leitura crítica sobre tais trabalhos precursores, a partir do pressuposto de serem participantes do sistema historiográfico oitocentista de formação do patrimônio nacional.

Abstract: The Nineteenth-Century historiographical representations were the beginning of national historiography. And the literary histories were institutionally one of the major discursive vehicles for invention and co-validation of our national tradition, specially for bringing the official seal of imperial patronage. During this period, many historians aspired to achieve the official history of Brazilian literature. There were three successful projects, those authored by Fernandes Pinheiro, Ferdinand Wolf and Sotero dos Reis. Therefore, my proposal is to offer a critical reading of these pioneer works based on the assumption that they were participants of the Nineteenth historiographical system of the national patrimony formation.
