{"abstract":"This study, conducted in BPH-Maramag, Bukidnon, CY 2023, assessed motivational factors and employee performance. It described the demographic profile of employees by age, sex, and type of health worker using frequency and percentage. The study determined the level of extrinsic and intrinsic motivational factors and employee performance in service delivery and patient services using weighted mean and standard deviation. It also investigated the significant relationship between these motivational factors and employee performance using the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient. Findings revealed that respondents were generally young, female, and predominantly nursing staff. There was a high level of motivation among respondents concerning both extrinsic factors (salary, wages, allowances, and benefits) and intrinsic factors (working environment, supervision, and career development opportunities). Employees demonstrated excellent performance in service delivery and patient service. A significant relationship was found between the level of extrinsic and intrinsic motivational factors and employee performance. The study recommends diversifying staff representation in future studies, ensuring employee satisfaction with salaries and benefits, providing opportunities for skill utilization and career development, and encouraging consistent excellent patient care.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Mark Stephen Ancheta","Anjero Marcia"],"date":"2026-05-24","doi":"10.70838/pemj.561007","id":7940,"issue":10,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"eed1dceaae86f3bc45f7580d20823024fb48d26ea4a7ae1a280ac200fe7999fd","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Motivational Factors Influencing the Performance of Employees","volume":56}
