{"abstract":"Remote learning was implemented in the Philippines and other countries as a safety measure against COVID-19. This phenomenological study looked into students’ experiences during remote learning through a semi-structured interview. Participants were identified by a needs assessment survey that was disseminated to Philippine Science High School - Ilocos Region Campus (PSHS-IRC) students from seventh to ninth grade using a homogeneous purposive sampling technique. Eight qualified participants were interviewed. The interviews were then transcribed and analyzed using cool and warm analysis. Three themes were identified from the analysis, namely: online learning is difficult, parental involvement in students' academic learning, and hobbies and coping mechanisms.
