{"abstract":"The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of artificial intelligence-powered calculators on the academic performance of senior high school STEM students in Mathematics. For the past few years, the utilization of web-based homework management solutions has been on the rise. In the case of Mathematics education, Artificial Intelligence's key contributions provide concepts, methods, and tools for designing flexible and relevant computer-based systems for educational and learning purposes. Upon the grant of permission, an adapted descriptive qualitative design was distributed to 160 Grade 12 STEM students who attend Saint Mary’s University. The collected data was then tabulated, analyzed, and interpreted. After using the Pearson r Correlation Test for the statistical analysis, it was found that there was a linear relation observed between the level of effectiveness and the respondents’ academic performance in Basic Calculus. The outcome of this research has proven that the use of AI-powered calculators is effective in the academic performance of STEM students in Mathematics.","abstract_source":"original","authors":["Danielle Afidchao","Jian Jervin Clyde Bigayan","Ma.
