Abstract

Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 aims to ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning. To achieve this, teachers must have strong interpersonal skills to create a supportive and respectful classroom. These skills help build trust, improve communication, and make learning more effective for every learner. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the extent of interpersonal skills and job performance among teachers for the School Year 2024-2025. The respondents of the study were elementary teachers from the Sagay District, Schools Division of Camiguin, during the school year 2024–2025. This study employed a descriptive-correlational research design to examine the significant relationship between interpersonal skills and job performance among teachers. An adopted and modified questionnaire was used to collect the necessary data, which was further supported by casual interviews. Findings revealed that the teachers always practiced interpersonal skills. The teachers' job performance is described as Very Satisfactory. There was a significant relationship between interpersonal skills and job performance among teachers. There were no significant differences in age, years of teaching experience, and highest educational attainment in the extent of interpersonal skills among teachers. The study concludes that the consistent practice of interpersonal skills by teachers positively influenced their job performance, which was rated as Very Satisfactory. Since a significant relationship was found between interpersonal skills and job performance, it is recommended that schools continue to support and enhance teachers' interpersonal abilities through regular training and professional development.
