Unveiling the Lifeworld of the Senior High School Principal and Teachers in Modular and Face-to-Face Teaching Learning

The study explored the lifeworld of the Senior High School Principal and Teachers in the modular and face-to-face teaching-learning, San Remigio National High School, School Year 2023-2024. This qualitative study employed transcendental phenomenology research design in exploring the experiences, coping mechanisms, and strategies encountered during modular and face-to-face classes. The findings revealed that the positive experiences of the principal and teachers emerged the following themes: Building Resilience, Supporting Teachers’ Emotional Well-Being and Feedbacking, Ensuring Access to Resources for Remote Teaching, Strong Interaction and Engagement, Supportive and Collaborative Stakeholders and High Motivation in the Teaching Learning Process, Motivated to Work, Adequate Materials to Help Students, Development of Independent Learning Skill, Ready-Made Modules and Learning Materials to Learners, Rewarding and Dynamic Teaching- Learning Process, and Students Multiple Perspective, Flexibility and Mastery, Dynamic Opportunity to Teaching -Learning Process, Personal Life and Work Balance, and Responsive and Engaged Learning Environment. For the negative experiences, the themes that emerged were Uncertainty of the Effectiveness of Modular Instruction, Difficulty in Monitoring Students' Progress, Poor Supervision of the Learners' Learning Approach, Increased Workloads for Teachers, Complex Responsibilities, Safety Concerns, and Difficulty in Maintaining a Positive and Effective Learning Environment. Likewise, on coping mechanisms, the following themes emerged: Fostering a Support System, Having Time Management and Developing People, Having a Positive Mindset, Being Adaptive and Flexible to Changes, Observing Time Management, Applying a Proactive Approach, and Seeking Support from Colleagues. Moreover, the strategies in sustaining motivation, job satisfaction and well- being, the themes were: Look for Purpose, Visionary and Goal Driven, Strong Motivation and Supportive Leadership for Success, Having Compassion, Enthusiasm and Motivation to Teaching, Organizational Strategy and Prioritizing Self-Care and Well-Being.
