Abstract

Bu araştırma, İstanbul'da beklenen büyük depremin zamanına ilişkin bilimsel verileri, tarihsel deprem döngülerini ve uzman görüşlerini derleyerek bir tahmin modeli sunmayı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmada, Kuzey Anadolu Fay Hattı'nın İstanbul segmentinde biriken enerji, geçmiş depremlerin periyodik yapısı ve güncel sismik hareketlilik analiz edilmiştir. Sonuçlar, İstanbul'da 7.0 ve üzeri büyüklükte bir depremin 2025-2040 arasında gerçekleşme olasılığının yüksek olduğunu göstermektedir.
