Abstract

This study examines the influence of library satisfaction and preference on the library utilization of college students at St. Peter’s College of Toril, Inc. It aims to assess students’ satisfaction with the library’s facilities, services, and resources, as well as their preferences, attitudes, and perceived value of the library in relation to their usage. Using a quantitative descriptive-correlational design, data was collected through an online survey from 275 college students enrolled in the school year 2023-2024. Findings reveal that students report high satisfaction with the library’s facilities, services, and resources and show a strong preference for the library, recognizing its importance in their academic experience. However, weak positive correlations were found between satisfaction, preference, and actual library utilization, suggesting that other factors may contribute to library use beyond these variables. The study concludes that while students value the library, further research is needed to identify additional factors influencing its utilization. Understanding these factors can help enhance library services and better meet students’ academic needs.
