Effects of Using Activity-Based Learning in Araling Panlipunan as Assessed by Selected Students in a Private School in Gumaca, Quezon

This study aimed to investigate the effects of using activity-based learning (ABL) in teaching Araling Panlipunan as perceived and assessed by selected students from a private school in Gumaca, Quezon. Utilizing a descriptive research design, the study focused on evaluating the impact of ABL on students’ engagement, understanding, and academic performance in Araling Panlipunan. Data were gathered through surveys, interviews, and assessment results from selected respondents. Findings revealed that the implementation of activity-based learning significantly enhanced students’ interest, participation, and comprehension of the subject matter. The interactive and hands-on nature of ABL contributed to better retention of concepts and improved critical thinking skills. The study concluded that activity-based learning is an effective instructional strategy in Araling Panlipunan and recommended its continued integration in the curriculum to foster active learning and holistic development among students.
