{"abstract":"This study examined the relationship between organizational climate and faculty work commitment at Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology (CFCST) as a basis for administrative intervention. Using a quantitative descriptive-correlational research design, data were gathered from 100 faculty members through a structured survey questionnaire measuring organizational climate in terms of leadership support, communication effectiveness, collegial relationships, participatory decision-making, and fairness and recognition, as well as work commitment in terms of affective, continuance, and normative commitment. Descriptive statistics, Pearson Product-Moment correlation, and multiple regression analysis were used to analyze the data. Results showed that the overall organizational climate was high (M = 4.07, SD = 0.59), with collegial relationships receiving the highest rating. Faculty work commitment was also high (M = 4.04, SD = 0.60), with affective commitment rated very high. A significant positive relationship was found between organizational climate and faculty work commitment, r = .62, p < .001. Regression findings indicated that leadership support was the strongest predictor of faculty work commitment (β = .34, p < .001), followed by collegial relationships, fairness and recognition, communication effectiveness, and participatory decision-making. The findings suggest that a supportive, collaborative, fair, and participatory institutional climate is associated with stronger faculty commitment. Based on these results, an administrative intervention plan is proposed to strengthen leadership support, communication systems, participatory governance, recognition practices, and faculty engagement at CFCST.","abstract_source":"original","authors":["Saada Sablayan","Akrema Sablayan","Ronielyn Pinsoy"],"date":"2026-09-03","doi":"10.70838/pemj.620507","id":9926,"issue":5,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"15ed0480490547cfbff1db8f7f4f3e81ec7e964a1e5707e6f3ab64e2f42fd44f","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Organizational Climate and Faculty Work Commitment: Basis for Administrative Intervention Framework","volume":62}
