{"abstract":"This study investigated the level of conceptual understanding and attitudes towards academic performance in learning mathematics among Grade 6 students at Dimasalang Elementary School during the 2022–2023 academic year. Employing a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design, the research gathered data from all students using complete enumeration sampling. Findings revealed an overall mean score of 78.13 (SD = 27.74) for conceptual understanding, interpreted as “approaching,” with individual scores on the 50-item knowledge test ranging from 24 to 43. Academic performance showed a significance value of 0.089. Attitudes towards learning mathematics had a significance value of 0.000, while conceptual understanding had a significance value of 0.452. Attitudes demonstrated the greatest influence on performance, with beta weights of 0.264 (t=4.123, p=0.000), indicating significance at the 0.01 level. Conceptual understanding had beta-weights of 0.216 (t=-3.088, p=0.452).
