{"abstract":"This study investigated the relationship between the utilization of instructional materials and senior high school students’ skill performance in Home Economics (HE). It also examined teachers’ socio-economic characteristics, students’ skill performance, and the extent of instructional material utilization. The study involved 62 senior high school HE teachers and 620 senior high school HE students from North Cotabato Division, selected through random sampling. Data analysis employed frequency counts, averages, weighted mean, and multiple regression. Most teacher respondents held bachelor’s degrees and had 5-10 years of HE teaching experience. The majority of students’ skill performance was rated as good. Real objects were the most preferred instructional materials, while pictures were frequently used but least preferred. Teachers’ socio-economic characteristics did not significantly influence students’ skill performance or the teachers’ extent of instructional material utilization. Furthermore, the teachers’ extent of instructional material utilization did not significantly influence students’ skill performance. The study concluded that the extent of utilization of instructional materials does not significantly influence senior high school students’ skill performance in Home Economics.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Robayna Batua"],"date":"2022-12-27","doi":"10.5281/zenodo.7486130","id":897,"issue":5,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"3bc63c69775c868067464bf1529c0daf7b08e8a32fa7b728591a629db592b2f6","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Extent of Utilization of Instructional Materials Used in Relation to Senior High School Students’ Skill Performance in Home Economics (HE)","volume":6}
