{"abstract":"This study investigated the relationship between job demands, job resources, and the instructional productivity of educators in the North District of Toledo City. Utilizing a descriptive-correlational design, the research focused on a predominantly female (89%), mid-career workforce characterized by high instructional loads, with 55% of respondents managing four or more distinct subject preparations. Data revealed that while teachers perceive job demands as Moderate (WM = 3.34), they face significant stressors from administrative paperwork (WM = 3.60) and student behavior challenges (WM = 3.88). Conversely, perceived job resources were found to be Very High (WM = 4.32), particularly in social support and instructional autonomy. The findings showed that while technical instructional productivity is High (WM = 3.94), deep-work tasks such as content research and differentiated assessment are limited by time constraints and administrative exhaustion. Statistical analysis using the Kruskal-Wallis Test identified a significant difference in lesson preparation based on Age (p = .022), while other demographics showed no significant variance. Spearman Rank-Order Correlation revealed that while job demands do not statistically diminish performance, Job Resources—specifically career development and constructive feedback—are highly significant predictors of instructional productivity p = 0.000). The study concludes that teachers operate in a \"transition trap\" where administrative and behavioral stressors threaten to erode professional morale despite a robust collaborative environment. To address these gaps, the study proposed the Instructional and Productivity Program (IPP).","abstract_source":"original","authors":["Ivy Caparida","Danilo Libradilla"],"date":"2026-07-31","doi":"10.70838/pemj.600906","id":8863,"issue":9,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"9b006c893014f5ea7c43e0dbea1a894ef43a34c2c49421811a322bfb3f63631a","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Workload Rationalization and Its Influence on the Instructional Productivity of Public-School Teachers of North District, Toledo City","volume":60}
