Data were collected through survey questionnaires on demographic profiles, core behavioral competencies, and working attitude, alongside the latest IPCR rating for teaching performance. Most respondents were female, 26-30 years old, Teacher II with regular permanent employment, 4-7 years of teaching experience, master's units, specializing in and teaching Social Sciences and Filipino. Respondents demonstrated exemplary role models in self-management, professionalism and ethics, results focus, teamwork, service orientation, and innovation. Their work attitudes, including sense of community, efficacy, and professional interest, were very positive, and the majority exhibited very satisfactory teaching performance. A significant relationship was found between area of specialization and subjects taught with core behavioral competencies, and between teacher's position, area of specialization, and teaching performance. Age was significantly related to working attitude. Core behavioral competencies, work attitudes, and teaching performance were strongly connected. Recommendations include continuous teacher participation in relevant training to enhance core behavioral competencies, upgrading teaching positions, and school principal support for professional growth and development, including extensive implementation and monitoring of Learning Action Cell (LAC) and other school-based training.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Rodel Cruzos"],"date":"2022-12-20","doi":"10.5281/zenodo.7463277","id":883,"issue":4,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"b55761e56c64ff8e42bffb411044d6f145cb0664d48282a3a44286649f64dfd1","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"The Core Behavioral Competencies, Work Attitudes and Teaching Performance of Senior High School Teachers: Input for an Intervention Scheme","volume":6}
