{"abstract":"The study sought to determine the influence of fundamental factors, such as teachers’ teaching methods and procedures, instructional materials, tools, and equipment, and parental involvement, on students’ academic performance. A descriptive-correlational research method was utilized, and the Statistical tools used in the study were mean and standard deviation to determine the extent of teachers’ teaching methods and procedures, instructional materials, tools, and equipment, and parents' involvement and frequency; and frequency and percentages were used to assess the level of students’ academic performance. Pearson r was utilized to ascertain the significant relationship between the fundamental factors, such as teaching methods and procedure, instructional materials, tools, and equipment, and parents’ involvement, to students’ academic performance. In addition, all student-respondents perform reasonably well in their academic performance in the Technology and Livelihood Education subject. It was also found that teachers’ teaching methods and procedures, instructional materials, and tools and equipment denote negligible correlation with students’ academic performance, while parents’ involvement signifies a low or slight relationship with students’ academic performance. In summary, it was recommended that school heads inspire teachers to design functional and inclusive teaching methods and instructional materials that stimulate students’ ability to learn. Additionally, it was recommended that teachers should be encouraged to develop, design, and implement inclusive teaching methods and instructional materials responsive to the learning needs of Technology and Livelihood Education students.","abstract_source":"original","authors":["Mary Jane Cezar"],"date":"2026-03-08","doi":"10.70838/pemj.530106","id":7310,"issue":1,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"ad0a316a91045fb1422cec9ba0346611605932b81480920bc6825e52d6d51f07","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Fundamental Factor in Teaching Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE): A Determinant for Students' Academic Achievement","volume":53}
