{"abstract":"This research investigated senior high school students' awareness of guidance and engagement in guidance activities at a Technical Vocational School in northern Bohol, aiming to establish their relationship. Employing an Explanatory Sequential design, the study used questionnaires for quantitative data and focused group discussions for qualitative data. Findings revealed participants were aware of guidance and counseling's scope across four dimensions: functions, availability/accessibility, personnel, and services. However, they held misconceptions, perceiving guidance as disciplinary or solely for those with problems. Students showed moderate engagement in seeking advice and support, valuing emotional guidance and relationship feedback, and exhibiting high trust in counseling services. Some students were reluctant due to discomfort or lack of interest. A significant relationship was found between awareness of guidance and counseling's scope and engagement in activities. The study concluded that while students are aware of services, they misunderstand guidance's meaning and function, and engagement levels depend on awareness. Well-informed students are more likely to participate.
