{"abstract":"This descriptive-correlational study investigated the best practices of 80 staff nurses from three provincial-owned hospitals in Pangasinan in reducing stress. The majority of respondents were female (57 or 71.3%), aged 26-35 years (30 or 37.5%), and had 6-10 years of service (28 or 35%). Most had earned Master’s units (30 or 37.5%) and had 3-5 relevant trainings (32 or 40%). The extent of best practices in reducing stress, across psychological, sociological, spiritual, environmental, and communication domains, was found to be sometimes practiced. There were no significant mean differences in the extent of best practices across the nurses' profile variables. However, a significant relationship was found between the extent of best practices and the respondents’ profile variables. The study concluded that best practices in reducing stress were sometimes practiced and slightly helped nurses. Recommendations included staff nurses enrolling in postgraduate studies, attending more relevant trainings, identifying and implementing more effective best practices, and participating in training focused on stress reduction skills and knowledge.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Gyver Nabua","Marlon Lipa"],"date":"2025-07-17","doi":"10.70838/pemj.420710","id":5833,"issue":7,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"a6e9812ad73e709f16017ecdb015d75b1964ac15afcebe6be7bc2016b0d9f4f1","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Best Practices of Staff Nurses in Government Community Hospitals in Reducing Stress","volume":42}
