{"abstract":"This descriptive correlational study assessed the leadership styles and practices of millennial and Gen Z educators in a K-12 school during the 2024-2025 school year, using a modified instrument. The study focused on senior high school educators to determine the relationship between their leadership styles and practices. Findings revealed that Millennial and Gen Z educators exhibit distinct leadership styles, including authoritarian, democratic, transformational, transactional, and servant leadership. A significant difference was observed in the assessment of leadership styles between these two generations in K-12 institutions. Both generations excel at setting clear expectations, leading by example, fostering open communication, developing connections, and supporting work-life balance. A notable disparity was also found in how millennial and Gen Z instructors evaluate leadership practices in K-12 schools. Furthermore, a strong correlation exists between the breadth of leadership styles and the depth of practices among K-12 educators from both generations. Recommendations include fostering team-oriented environments, participating in professional development, soliciting student input, student engagement in school improvement, and school administrators promoting a culture of innovation and risk-taking.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Felipe Muncada"],"date":"2025-07-11","doi":"10.70838/pemj.420202","id":5765,"issue":2,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"d338758f9180a12cdd02e2f235ff5d0df9c551367bad7e2c12ba87ff20a38e66","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Intergenerational Leadership Styles and Practices of Millennial and Gen Z Educators in K-12 Schools: Foundation for Development Plan","volume":42}
