{"abstract":"This study investigated the effects of brain-based learning (BBL) practices on the Science achievement of junior high school students in select Thai secondary schools during the academic year 2024-2025. The research identified specific BBL strategies, including active participation, emotional and social environment, multisensory instruction, and conceptual understanding and application of scientific concepts. Data were collected from a diverse sample of students to comprehensively view how these practices influence science achievement. Findings indicated that BBL is extensively implemented in science instruction for Thai students, focusing on conceptual understanding and application, multisensory instruction, emotional and social environments, and participation. Thai students demonstrated exceptional proficiency in science, evidenced by their expertise in reflective journals, collaborative group work, portfolios, and performance-based assessments. Furthermore, Thai students' performance in science classes correlated with their use of BBL strategies, which significantly impacted their reflective journals. Recommendations included incorporating hands-on experiments and group discussions, using multisensory teaching methods, fostering cooperative learning, encouraging student participation, providing teacher training and resources on BBL, and promoting collaboration among educators to share successful BBL strategies.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Lovely May DelaCruz"],"date":"2025-07-07","doi":"10.70838/pemj.420110","id":5761,"issue":1,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"287e14932363cdb7283252bd94c807612ed884018ac249fcde3d101663b670e7","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"The Effects of Brain-Based Learning Practices on the Science Achievements of Learners in Select Thai Secondary Schools: Input to Instructional Strategies","volume":42}
