{"abstract":"This descriptive-correlational-developmental study aimed to determine the profile of delivery room nurses and evaluate their knowledge of occupational health and safety (OHS) to identify training needs. The study also examined the relationship between nurse profile variables and OHS knowledge. The majority of nurses were 30 to 49 years old, female, single, attended to more than 3 patients, held bachelor's degrees, and had 1 to 5 years of nursing practice. Most had attended more than 3 relevant OHS trainings. Results indicated that delivery room nurses were knowledgeable to a great extent on OHS, but not to a very great extent, and expressed a need to enhance and update their knowledge. The extent of OHS knowledge was influenced by age, civil status, nurse-to-patient ratio, highest educational attainment, length of nursing practice, and the number of relevant trainings attended.
