{"abstract":"This descriptive study investigated the effects of teachers' feedback on the academic performance in Social Studies of 100 selected high school students from a private school in Gumaca, Quezon, using quota sampling. The respondents' profiles showed most were 13 years old, female, and in grades 7, 8, 9, or 10. The study examined teachers' feedback in terms of improving motivation, enhancing critical thinking, and reducing stress. Findings indicated that respondents 'Very Much Agreed' with teacher feedback for enhancing critical thinking (average mean of 4.24), improving motivation (average mean of 4.22), and reducing stress (average mean of 4.22). However, Kruskal-Wallis test results showed no significant difference in teachers’ feedback on academic performance in Social Studies, leading to the acceptance of all null hypotheses. Recommendations were made for school administrators, parents, teachers, students, and future researchers to leverage and explore the impact of teacher feedback.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Rexes Jhon Pariñas","Maria Celerina Oreta","Melchor Espiritu","Rosemarie Alfarero"],"date":"2025-06-21","doi":"10.70838/pemj.401004","id":5621,"issue":10,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"dc3cc316badada28cbe059101d15f083cf258e25d68b5a949e105680d98645a8","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Effects of Teachers Feedback to the Academic Performance in Social Studies of Selected Students in a Private School in Gumaca, Quezon","volume":40}
