{"abstract":"This descriptive-quantitative study investigated the relationship between financial challenges and teaching effectiveness among 116 teachers at Maramag Central Elementary School. Utilizing a questionnaire adapted from Vergara (2017) and rated on a 5-point Likert Scale, the study gathered data interpreted using weighted mean, standard deviation, frequency count, percentage, and Pearson r. Most respondents were female, aged 41–50, and had 11 or more years of service. Teachers in Maramag 1 District experienced a Moderate Level of financial challenges. A significant relationship was found between the level of financial challenges and teaching effectiveness, indicating that teachers were less effective when facing financial difficulties, particularly when additional work affected their energy and availability. The study also found no significant difference in financial challenges across demographic profiles of sex, age, and years of service. These findings highlight the critical link between financial well-being and teaching quality, suggesting the need to address financial difficulties to support educators in achieving optimal educational outcomes.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Gretchen Vito","Elizabeth Postrano"],"date":"2025-06-12","doi":"10.70838/pemj.400101","id":5517,"issue":1,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"81db21607124f383dc6b49c770527d6fefe93ea235b6a0f87d0c376edb300195","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Financial Challenges and Their Effects on Teachers' Teaching Effectiveness","volume":40}
