Using a qualitative, phenomenological approach, in-depth interviews were conducted with five teachers to gather insights into their career journeys. The analysis revealed six key themes: Promotion Challenges, highlighting delays and unclear criteria; Experience-Based Career Struggles, reflecting evolving challenges over time; Proactive Strategies for Advancement, emphasizing networking and professional development; Policy Barriers, pointing to favouritism and seniority-based promotions; Support System Gaps, indicating insufficient mentoring and training; and Recommendations for Improvement, advocating for clearer promotion policies and targeted professional development.
