{"abstract":"This study aimed to determine the relationship between the job satisfaction and performance of non-education teacher graduates of selected public secondary high schools in the Division of Quezon. It examined respondent profiles, job satisfaction regarding job security, work environment, job responsibilities, and community linkages, as well as challenges encountered and coping mechanisms. Using purposive sampling and quota sampling techniques, 112 respondents participated from all over the Division of Quezon. Weighted mean was used to assess job satisfaction and performance, while spearman correlation was used to evaluate the relationship between them. Results indicated that in terms of job security, respondents rated all indicators satisfied. In terms of work environment, job responsibilities, community linkages and job security, they rated indicators much satisfied. In terms of challenges regarding lack of teaching strategies, personal and attitude self-learning and resourcefulness seeking help and openness and acceptance, respondents rated all of them often encountered, with the total mean equivalent to sometimes encountered. Furthermore, there was no significant relationship between respondents' job satisfaction and their performance in the latest Result-Based Performance Management System (RPMS), as the P-Value of all indicators was greater than the P-Value of 0.05 level of significance. Consequently, the overall hypothesis was accepted.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Mary Ann Ching"],"date":"2022-07-18","doi":"10.5281/zenodo.6853685","id":426,"issue":2,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"6e950a93dba81479f71dc3865fdd3a1245774b3398c819be3171d3d96b40caa2","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Job Satisfaction and Performance of Non - Education Teacher Graduates in the Schools Division of Quezon","volume":3}
