{"abstract":"This study investigated Saint Mary’s University Senior High School (SMU SHS) students' perception of gender equity and their attitudes toward gender roles, addressing prevalent gender inequality. Employing a mixed-method design, the research was conducted at SMU SHS in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, with Grade 11 and Grade 12 students selected via stratified random sampling. Qualitative data was analyzed using thematic analysis, while inferential statistics were applied to quantitative data. The findings revealed that respondents held a positive perception of gender equity but a negative attitude toward gender roles. Significant differences were observed in perceptions of gender equity when students were grouped by profile variables, with the exception of family type. Attitudes toward gender roles also showed significant differences across groups. A high positive correlation was found between students' perception of gender equity and their attitudes toward gender roles.
