{"abstract":"This quantitative research employed a descriptive, correlational design to assess the relationship between profile and organizational commitment among nurses in healthcare institutions in the Province of Cotabato. The majority of respondents were young adult females (19-35 years old) with college degrees, who had served their organizations for 3 to 6 years, primarily in private hospitals. Continuance commitment was rated as neither low nor high, while affective and normative commitments were rated as high, resulting in an overall high organizational commitment among respondents. Age, sex, educational attainment, years of service, and type of hospital showed no significant relationship with continuance or affective commitment. A significant relationship was found between years of experience and normative commitment, but not with age, sex, educational attainment, or type of hospital. Significant relationships were observed between years of experience and overall organizational commitment, and between type of hospital and overall organizational commitment. Conversely, age, sex, and educational attainment did not significantly relate to overall organizational commitment. In conclusion, years of experience and the type of hospital influence organizational commitment, with longer experience translating to higher commitment and private hospitals showing increased organizational commitment. An organizational commitment enhancement plan was developed as an output of this study.","abstract_source":"gemini_shortened","authors":["Michael John Castillo"],"date":"2024-07-21","doi":"10.5281/zenodo.12789889","id":3273,"issue":5,"journal":{"issn":"2822-4353","name":"Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal"},"pdf_sha256":"9518dc4c1f9ff1fd950382667b413c3b0bfd43d32575bb887375e322c6878220","schema":"scimatic-article/1","title":"Profile on the Organizational Commitment of Nurses During COVID-19 Pandemic","volume":22}
